The 8-3 South Carolina Gamecock football team invades Death valley today to put another notch in it's belt before playing Auburn next Saturday in the sec Championship game. While the USC Clemson game is a age old rivalry, this year the Gamecocks should have no problems dispatching a rag tag, crumbling football program led by Dabo Swinney. Clemson has taken a large step back in talent recruiting and talent level, and it has begun to show on the field. Although both defenses are ranked nationally,
USC ranks 4th in country (1st in SEC) with 36 sacks while Clemson is tied for 11th nationally (4th in ACC) with 29. You have to remember we are talking SEC versus ACC and there isn't much comparison in Duke and Auburn. Clemson will have to find a way to stop Carolina star running back Marcus Lattimore. Lattimore, only a freshmen, is already being touted as a future Heisman trophy candidate. The University of florida had no answers in stopping the grinding running back, and if Florida can't stop him what makes you think Clemson can? South Carolina 8-3, (5-3 SEC) has a chance today to notch it's 9th win only the second time in school history while the mediocre the Tigers are 6-5, (4-4 ACC). Expect to see a seasoned garcia at the helm and a grinding crowd controlled Marcus Lattimore as the Gamecocks should embarass the tigers on their home turf. Final score prediction University of South Carolina 37- Clemson Tigers 16
